What is Faith@Home?
Faith@Home is not a program nor is it the latest church fad. Rather, it is a new set of lenses through which each church can view and shape it’s existing ministries to become increasingly home-centered and church-assisted versus continuing in the more typical church-centered, home-assisted model. In short, that is Faith@Home – an initiative to help us fully embrace this difference.
Greg McCombs, National Director of CMFN, introduces networks of churches to the Faith@Home Movement and will provide training opportunities and resources for network churches in a given region interested in establishing a Faith@Home focused ministry. We will accomplish this with on going support in those regions through a coaching model of strategic quarterly events for a one to three-year term.
Resources
CMFN will bring practical training and experience using proven resources such as Take It Home by co-authors, Rev. Mark Holmen and Dave Teixeira.
Take It Home
Inspiration and Events to Help Parents Spiritually Transform Their Children
Take It Home is part of an exciting Faith at Home initiative, which seeks to help congregations develop an integrated and comprehensive approach to family ministry. If we want our children to have a faith that is “impressed on their hearts” as Deuteronomy 6 depicts, the Church must reestablish the home as the primary place where faith is nurtured, training and equipping parents to take up this vital task. To this end, Mark Holmen and David Texiera have assembled a complete package for pastors, including a mission, vision and strategy for family ministry; thirteen reproducible and customizable Take-It-Home Event outlines; a DVD with compelling messages for senior pastors and Christian education leaders; and a Faith at Home interactive website. Now churches can help parents transform spiritual formation from the one-hour drop-off each Sunday to a daily walk with Jesus.
